Gender Equity

Fasken has committed to identifying and adopting principles and best practices that promote the retention and advancement of women in the private practice of law and specifically to achieving goals in key core areas: flexible work arrangements, networking and business development, and mentoring and leadership skills development for women.

We support numerous diversity initiatives in each of the countries that we operate in.

    Our firm has committed to identifying and adopting principles and best practices that promote the advancement of women in law including partnering with like-minded organizations such as Premières en Affaires magazine.

    ​​​​One of our lawyers received a World of Difference 100 Award from The International Alliance for Women in recognition of her role as a founder and national Chair of the Professional Women’s Network.​
  • ​WEConnect

    ​​WEConnect International is a global network that connects women-owned businesses to qualified buyers around the world.
  • ​Women in Business & Feminine Force Fasken

    ​We founded two women’s committees in the Québec region: Women in Business, composed of female partners and Feminine Force Fasken (F3), composed of associates.
  • ​Women in Mining in South Africa

    ​​The firm’s women mining lawyers are members of Women in Mining South Africa (WiMSA), a volunteer not-for-profit organization.
  • ​Women's Networking Initiative

    ​​Our Women’s Networking Initiative offers networking and business development opportunities and
    mentoring and leadership skills development for women.
  • ​Young Women in Law

    ​​YWL hosts a variety of networking events that provide members with opportunities to meet and establish connections with other YWL members and develop and enhance life and career skills.
